Post-Kenyon Plans for Psychology Majors
The psychology department sponsors activities to encourage interaction between students and faculty, and to encourage students to learn more about the profession of psychology. Students interested in graduate work or a career in psychology or social work should start by exploring the links on the Psychology Career Page and talking to their psychology advisor and other faculty members. Students interested in psychotherapy or related fields should also contact Prof. Lyubansky, the pre-professional advisor in clinical psychology and social work.

Research Opportunities
The psychology department encourages students to get involved in research in psychology. The variety of ways to get involved are described on the student research page.

The Psychology Lunch Table
The psychology lunch table meets every Tuesday at noon in Upper Dempsey. It is a very informal setting for students and faculty to get to know each other better.

The Psychology and Neuroscience Club
The Psychology and Neuroscience Club is a student-led club with a faculty advisor. The psychology club sponsors various activities. To get on the email distribution list for the psychology club, email Psych.Neuro.Club@Kenyon.edu

Volunteer Experience
We also encourage students to pursue volunteer experience at local agencies. The Kenyon Office-Campus Activities Program in Psychology (OAPP) organizes volunteer experiences for students. For example, they have established contacts at local elmentary schools where Kenyon students can tutor students or help out in the classrooms, with the local domestic abuse shelter, etc. If they don't have a placement you are interested in they can help you make the contact. In addition, the office arranges transportation if you need it. You can visit the OAPP office in Sam Mather 208, or email one of the student coordinators to find out the variety of volunteer experiences that are available: email OAPP
