Professional History

While a graduate student, I was a part-time instructor at Loyola University of Chicago and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (CSPP).  In addition, I was the dissertaion consultant for CSPP, a program evaluator for parenting programs at the Latin School of Chicago, and a coordinator of a violence prevention project for the Cabrini Green Youth Program.

Teaching Interests

I hope my enthusiasm for psychology (even stats!) will rub off on my students.  I'll be teaching Intro to Psych, Statistics, and Adolescent Development.

Research Interests

Social and cognitive development.  Specifically, development of the family system and the impact of major life transitions on the development of individuals and their relationships.  Also, differences in parenting practices and the effects of these practices on child development.
