A bibliography or reference page is a complete list of all the sources you used in your research, even if you don't quote from them in your paper. You do not include background readings if you didn't include any specific ideas, data, or theory from them in your paper. Although creating the bibliography and notes is usually the last step of writing a paper, it is essential that you keep careful records throughout your research process so that you can properly document your sources. It is especially critical to note URLs and the dates(s) you used online resources. This information will be necessary to write a complete citation.
Your reference page should be formatted in the specific style approved by the American Psychological Association, referred to as APA Style.
